If you want to join a zoom meeting and are not staff or a student at Linnaeus University then this is perfectly fine. Guests do not have to have an account but can join the video and audio meeting in the same way as a regular user.
When you click on a link to a meeting invitation, you get directly to the meeting's homepage. The following message is displayed:
Normally, the Zoom program automatically starts downloading (recommended to use) and starts installing. If it does not, you can click on the "Download & run Zoom" link and the program will be downloaded. Follow the installation instructions.
After you have installed the program, you can click on the link "Then click here to join the meeting". Then you get the following question:
"Do you want to allow this page to open "zoom.us"? Click Allow and then you are inside the meeting.
Here you can read more about what you can do in a meeting: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/200941109-Attendee-Controls-in-a-Meeting
If you don't want to install the program (or if you're restricted to do so) on your computer there is an option to join via your web browser. Just bare in mind that you will not be able to use your webcam in meetings via the browser. However, you can see and hear other participants and follow along in shared screens.
